Playing Left 4 Dead in a 42′ Plasma TV via Compaq CQ40-310 HDMI connection. Video and Audio Quality was great; It’s just like having a game console connected with the TV. Just grab a USB gamepad and connect the notebook via HDMI and voila….a portable game console… Note: Compaq CQ40-310AU comes with integrated ATI 3200 graphics. Though reviews and benchmarks say that it cannot run games well enough to be called a gaming laptop, for some reasons (and right settings), It can. It can sure run DX9 games and for DX10 games, you just have to lower video settings to mid or low. Not ALL games will sure work though…. Being one of the most affordable notebook with great specs, this surely is a great buy;-)

I for one still have several VCR’s, a portable DVD player and several camcorders that have the yellow (composite) video output and I plan on leeping them.
