How I simply, easily and cheaply adapted a Whirlpool front load washer pedestal to work with a Samsung Model WF220ANW front loading washer. The stand was a mark down at Lowe’s because it had a small ding and minor scratching. I got it for marked down from 0. It works great. Saved me 0 bucks!
Happy me!

Replacing the Y Sustain board on a 50inch plasma tv Movie.wmv
My two and a half year old 50 inch plasma is broken already. The Y main or sustain board needs to be replaced. The tv has no active cooling and I’m not surprised it overheated with the tremendous heat generated. Out of warranty repair will cost several hundred dollars. It’s a shame they can make such poor quality products. All they needed was a few strategically placed fans to cool the tv. Don’t attempt the repair if you are not qualified to do so. The residual electricity from the capacitors, even when the plug is disconnected, can kill you or give you a nasty shock.

How To Repair A Failed Philips/Samsung/JVC Plasma TV
Another landfill rescue; this one was in the process of being loaded onto the truck that takes electronics to the scrapyard. I discovered this model is particularly troublesome, but repairs can be made for around 0. Based on an earlier Samsung plasma engine, these typically blow through Y-sustain boards, which results in failed upper and lower buffer boards (in my case, the y-sus was spared). Legend has it, if you complain loudly enough to Philips, you might be compensated for the cost of a new television, but you didn’t hear it from me *wink wink*. This TV was a 2006 model 42PF7320A, and the symptom was horizontal lines and snow throughout the picture.
